You’d think by now we’d have found a cure for acne but we haven’t so there remains quite a selection of products on the shelves to attack the acne problem that so many teenagers get hit with at one point or another.
Fortunately, these products do actually work which is more than can be said for many cosmetic type treatments that you find around these days. They are still pretty expensive though.

I’ll have to confess that I’m one of those people who pretty much strip the stands at trade shows of all the especially cute little give-aways that they have.
You’d think that I’d long since have overdosed on promotional pens but surprisingly there are still cute ones around. I pity one company that I went to last year though as they’d made their pens just too cute and just about everyone was collecting those ones which was just a pure cost to that company as I’ve no idea what they do and there’s neither a phone number not website address on the pen so I can’t even find out.
That’s, of course, the problem with give-aways: people who have no interest in your products will collect them if they’re unusual enough. That’s presumably why you no longer see the stress balls out these days as they’re 1) relatively expensive as give-aways 2) great freebie gifts for your kids and 3) the ink rubs off them pretty quickly so their value as a promotional item is extremely limited.

One thing that’s very noticeable locally is that there are an awful lot of very pregnant women walking around at the moment so it looks like there’ll be queues in the baby bedding shops pretty soon.
We found that having John in the summer here was pretty peculiar. Despite the temperatures outside being getting on for 40c in the shade, and it being even hotter inside the maternity wing, the nurses still insisted on putting three layers of clothing on him every time they walked into the room. OK, I know, you’re supposed to keep newborns wrapped up, but that’s a custom from a cold climate that’s just not appropriate for a hot one. After all, when he was inside the temperature was only 37c!
