Depending on your subject you can end up spending hundreds on textbooks so it’s usually worthwhile to consider the purchase before you get going on it.
First off, there’s the option of second hand books. This usually works really well with arts subjects as many of the main texts aren’t revised for years if not decades and, of course, you can get the works of the major authors for very little indeed these days. However, the downsides of that approach is that often you’ll find that the text have been marked or highlighted and not always in the most helpful of ways. Also, in, say, technology based subjects the texts can be revised quite often and you can’t always run with an out of date edition of the book.
Obviously online is the way to go in terms of purchasing and if you’re making a big order you should expect discounting to apply along with free delivery, of course.

Wendy’s one of those people who are hooked on coffee for whom a Capresso machine would be close to the ideal present.
Although it can often seem a daft idea for us non-coffee drinkers to be buying essentially a commercial coffee maker for the home it’s one of those little treats that are really appreciated. With Christmas not being that far off you could sock one of these away and have your first Christmas present sorted out in really good time.
Aside from anything else, the smell of freshly made coffee is a nice aroma to add to your house, even for the non-coffee drinkers amongst us.

One of the biggest hassles of moving house has surely got to be the business of getting everything packed and ready for the movers.
Early on in the process it’s worthwhile researching shipping boxes as you’ll need to get an idea of just what volumes you can get your stuff into. For instance, we found that the larger sizes of box available just weren’t workable for us and the much larger number of small boxes we ended up with were much handier to pack (although it took ages to get them all into the truck!).
