Would you be a teenager again?

Friday, September 18th, 2009

I’m sire that we all wish that we were younger now and again. After all, we were thinner, fitter and had fewer responsibilities: just about the ideal time of life, eh?

Except, of course, it never was quite like that. Thinner perhaps but let’s not forget about the baby fat. Fitter, perhaps, but then there was the constant acne treatment required. And the fewer responsibilities were accompanied by the stress of studying and exams.

Would you really take that time again?

What about going completely stainless steel?

Friday, September 18th, 2009

We’re just about to get going on a major upgrade of the kitchen and have been browsing the stores to consider what kind of “look” to go for this time around.

As always there’s the plain white and stainless steel look that are relatively easy to roll out for everything. White’s pretty boring though and running with white tiles makes the place look like a hospital. However, this time around there’s the option of having stainless steel tiles to match all the appliances.

We’ve still not decided on the overall look but there’s definitely heaps more choice this time around and, for the most part, things are cheaper too.

Rolling back the years on your face

Friday, September 18th, 2009

With the aging population in just about every country around the world there’s a whole lot more interest in finding ways to roll back the years these days than there was a few decades ago.

The problem is that it’s a problem that’s not, yet, been fully solved. In practical terms that means that you need to attack the problem on a number of fronts. There’s the obvious aspects of diet and exercise which can make a substantial difference in how old (or young) you look.

Beyond that, you need to look into the likes of wrinkle treatments which, at the moment, largely just cover up the cracks rather than really fixing things. Or, of course, there’s the plastic surgery approach though when you look at some of those that have taken this approach some years ago it’s pretty clear that this ain’t the ultimate solution.

At the moment then it looks like attacking the problem on multiple fronts is the way to go.
