Getting rid of those acne spots

Friday, January 15th, 2010

Isn’t puberty a pain? No sooner than you start getting attracted to girls, you find yourself hunting for best acne treatment that you can track down.

You’d think that after all this time, there’d be a solution to this but since it’s down to the hormones flowing around at the time, that makes testing of cures rather difficult not to mention the small problem that knocking out those hormones might not be such a good solution for the patient!

Still, at least there are good creams which gets the problem under control these days.

Looking for a job when you’re not tied to a location

Friday, January 15th, 2010

Even in difficult times it’s relatively easy to look for a job when you want one in a specific place. Not easy to get one mind you but it is at least easy to look.

Where life gets more difficult is when you want a job but aren’t too bothered where it is. In theory this should make it a whole lot easier to find a job and it certainly should do. But, and it’s a big but, the majority of sites are geared up to searching for a specific location these days which is handy for most people but not everyone.

Still, these days it’s starting to become a little easier as multi-location sites are starting to be formed which gives such sites a whole lot larger Internet footprint and thereby attracts more employers and potential employees to them. So even though it’s a multi-location site you can find that each of the locations covered by it will have more jobs listed than a normal one-location site would do which is good for everyone.

Collecting up your car insurance quotes

Friday, January 15th, 2010

Car insurance is a peculiar thing where customer loyalty seems to mean nothing for the majority of companies.

That being the case it’s useful to build up a short carinsurancelist for yourself so that you can do a quick check each year. Silly as it may seem, it can save you money even if you have the same car insurance company but buy it through different brokers every year.

I managed to stay with the same insurance company for getting on for 15 years myself but every single year I picked up the “new customer” discount (which can be quite substantial in some cases) by simply getting a different broker to do the quote every year. It sounds like a totally crazy thing to do and one that’s sure not to work but it really does: all I had to do was to alternate between two different brokers over those 15 years and every single year I picked up that “new customer” discount!

Although it’s definitely a pain to do, there’s big bucks to be saved with relatively little time spent.
