For the vast majority of people the only time that they send out formal invitations is when they’re firing off their wedding invitations.

Not only is it more than likely their first experience of sending out a formal invitation though, but it’s something of a peculiar type of invitation anyway. First off it’s got to go to a very wide range of people who will only be coming together for that specific event and there’s the added complication that various combinations of those groups don’t get on and therefore aren’t overly keen on going to an event together anyway.

However, it is a very important day for the couple of course and since the invitation will be the first that many recipients will have heard of the upcoming union, it’s quite an important document and one that needs some care taken on it. Assumptions shouldn’t be made with the text as many of the people receiving it won’t know the area where the ceremony it taking place.
