On the whole, I stick to blogging Monday to Friday and keep the weekends for other website developments.

For one thing, generally speaking the Internet is that little bit quieter at the weekend so if I’m doing a site update it generally goes that little bit faster on a Sunday than it would do were I to do it during the week. And, of course, there’s a distinct lack of people phoning you up on Sundays usually so it’s easier to get one’s head settled to do some of the work.

Today for instance, I’m in the process of moving over my main blog, Foreign Perspectives, which is surprisingly large some four years down the line and it’s taking AGES to get it copied over to our new hosting service. Usually, you’d expect these things to take maybe half an hour but the little meter reckons that it’s got another three hours to go with the copying and then I’ve to get it set up on the new host.

Hard as it may be to believe I’ve had this domain for nearly 10 years now but never really did anything with it until now.

The plan is that this’ll be very much a personal blog so the topics will lurch from one subject to another as the mood takes me. Having said that, I’d say that travel, finance and technology will feature strongly amongst the subjects that I’ll cover but there’ll be lots of other stuff along the way too.
