The big problem with cosmetic treatments is that there is pretty much no correlation between what a product costs and how effective it might be.
Therefore, one viable strategy when you’re looking at, say, wrinkle creams is to simply buy the cheapest one. If it works, great. If it doesn’t, then you haven’t wasted a fortune and can move on to the next one.
It mightn’t suit the marketing people, but it’s quite viable in many products of this nature.

With prices dropping in many areas these days it might seem like there’s no point in bothering to look for a Best Buy.
That’s sort-of true but even when prices are reasonably low there’s not much point in throwing your money away. Those best buys are called that for a reason: they offer you the best combination of features and price. That doesn’t always mean that they’re the lowest price you can get, but sometimes it’s worth paying that little bit more to get a whole lot more features.
