Holiday time in Carolina

Sunday, February 22nd, 2009

As we edge out of the winter season, we’re just getting into the peak time for vacation bookings for the coming summer.

One of the apparently more popular areas these days are in Carolinas outer banks. Ordinarily most people only consider hotels for their vacations but Outer Banks rentals are definitely the way to go in this instance. Why? Well, this is an area where you will make the most of the attractions by having a base for your explorations and there are some fantastic holiday rental properties available right now at reasonably sensible prices too.

Although you might think that with the current economic situation, there’s no rush to make your reservations, don’t rely on that because people tend to put vacation expenditure right at the top of their priorities so these properties will go fast.

An interest in Vegas?

Monday, November 10th, 2008

In the eyes of a lot of people Las Vegas is all about gambling and nothing else.

However, although clearly the financial foundations of the place are very much built on the income for gambling that means that non-gamblers get a substantial subsidity on the cost of a vacation based there. Yes, you can pretty much assume that a hotel in las vegas will come with an integrated gambling complex but it also comes with substantial amounts of free or cheap entertainment for the non-gamblers too.

Many years ago “the” place to go for the kids was Circus Circus which amounts to a pretty much non-stop walk-through circus with small-scale acts going on pretty much constantly and larger events on a regular basis too. However, these days you’ll find many more places targetting families with kids and range of family friendly entertainment on offer is unbelieveable.

Even getting there is usually fairly cheap too!

Exploring Carolinas Outer Banks

Sunday, October 12th, 2008

The Carolinas are one of those areas which doesn’t get a major amount of attention from the travel press internationally and being sandwiched between Florida and Virgina many people just scoot on through, barely giving the area a second thought.

That’s a real shame as to give the area the justice it deserves you really need to be thinking in terms of vacation rental rather than overnight stays. Fortunately, that’s a market that’s well looked after by Outer Banks rentals where you’ll find a wide range of places to suit all budgets and all family sizes. Availability is surprisingly good for what’s a very attractive area to use as a base for your vacation explorations.

Perhaps more importantly if it’s your first time, it give you a mid-way point between Florida and Virginia which makes it a fairly easy sell to your family.
