Don’t wall lights have funny names these days?
It turns out that unbeknownst to me the wall lights that we’ve had for years are actually called wall sconces which probably explains why I’ve not been able to find updated versions of them on google lately.
After many years of faithful service we’re going to have to search out some new ones as the existing ones are starting to pack in. Darned handy they are too: not only is the light distributed much better around the room but you can forget about bumping into them in the middle of the room.
I’d never have been searching for “sconces” though!
