Into the summer and into a new swimsuit
If you’re heading for the beaches this summer I’m sure that you’ll find the usual fashion parade of swimsuits on display when you get there.
Of course, it does depend a lot on what visitor profile the local beaches attract. For example, we have one local beach which is, almost exclusively, for the the locals and it shows as it’s the one where you’re sure to see the beer bellies hanging out and some really naff looking beachwear.
On the other hand, move just a few miles to the south and you’ll find a very trendy beach scene with all the latest fashions on display and a very active nightlife when the sun goes down.
The snag for those booking holidays in this area is that there’s really very little indication from the vacation properties as to which type of beach they’re close to. In some ways they seem almost to have gone out of their way to prepare their places for a type of customer who would hate it. So, the “locals beach” which is quite excellent for families tends to shoot for small apartments which aren’t really suitable for them whilst the trendy resort has accommodation much more suitable for families.
