Stopping your body absorbing fat in the first place
Most diet pills tackle the problem after the event ie they get rid of fat that’s already been incorporated into your body but there’s another approach to this: tell your body not to absorb the fat in the first place.
What products such as alli do is to attach themselves to the fat molecules and thereby stop your body doing that itself. In theory a brilliant approach but, as always, there are downsides. Unless you’ve health problems the most noticeable side-effect is that you can get a mild form of diarrhea essentially because of the oily nature of the products formed when the fat is bound to the contents of the diet pill. Unless you’re eating a lot of fatty products in your normal diet chances are that you won’t notice this much.
Naturally these pills are most effective if you’re gaining weight because you’re eating a lot of fatty products which, of course, is the case for many of us.
