Sunday afternoon updates
On the whole, I stick to blogging Monday ro Friday and keep the weekends for other website developments.
For one thing, generally speaking the Internet is that little bit quieter at the weekend so if I’m doing a site update it generally goes that little bit faster on a Sunday than it would do were I to do it during the week. And, of course, there’s a distinct lack of people phoning you up on Sundays usually so it’s easier to get one’s head settled to do some of the work.
Today for instance, I’m in the process of moving over my main blog, Foreign Perspectives, which is surprisingly large some four years down the line and it’s taking AGES to get it copied over to our new hosting service. Usually, you’d expect these things to take maybe half an hour but the little meter reckons that it’s got another three hours to go with the copying and then I’ve to get it set up on the new host.
